Luxurious Historical Home - King Bed, Office, Chef's Kitchen

Beautiful home, perfect for family gathering. Positive: This home is beautiful in every way. We appreciated the incredible craftsmanship and well preserved original details, along with modern convenience and amenities. We are avid cooks, and the kitchen was easily the best of any rental I've ever stayed in. Host was very communicative and responded quickly to all messages. Our family had a wonderful time gathering here -- plenty of space inside and out. Lovely birds singing every morning and throughout the day. Also this home is great for anyone with babies/young toddlers. I have a 3 year old so did not need most of the items, but I saw plenty of items that would have been perfect when my kiddo was like 6-18 months old. Excellent location in the middle of everything but at the end of a quiet street. We hope to return next time we visit our family here. Negative: We could have used a few more small forks and spoons - I mentioned this to the host and they were amenable to fixing. Only other thing I'd mention is that we have sensitive skin and all the detergent in the house was heavily scented. We picked up free and clear detergent for ourselves, so that's something to consider if you want to do laundry in the house.

This home is a 10/10! Positive: Absolutely beautiful home! This home exceeded our expectations in every way. The property was spotless when we arrived and the house was well equipped with everything we needed and more. The location is ideal making our trip so easy and enjoyable. We loved our stay and will absolutely be returning!

My entire family greatly enjoyed the house's comfort and access to surrounding areas. Positive: The house was comfortable, well-equipped, beautiful, and tastefully updated in an eye toward historical preservation. The location was excellent. Despite being so near the airport, the neighborhood was quite peaceful and relatively quiet. Negative: Access from the driveway to the doors was a challenge for my mobility-inhibited elderly parents. Some rails for the front steps would have helped.

Positive: This incredibly maintained historically registered craftsman was just stunning! I was a little concerned if it would be "old" but the modern updates - kept in the style of the era- were perfect. The kitchen was especially lovely and we were able to prep our Thanksgiving dishes like pros. Location was quite nice at the end of short street, and close enough for walk to Balboa. And the owner was equally lovely - responsive and considerate. Absolutely would recommend Negative: Note- be aware there are quite a few steps that lead up to the door. Also, it's a little tight to turn car around as you leave.
